CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT & BOOKING FORM

1. Deposits:
A non-refundable deposit of at least 10% (or more if stipulated in the product supplier’s own
Conditions of Contract) of the contract price per person is required for camper and car rentals,
cruises and tours, packages together with a signed booking form, at the time of confirmation,
in order to secure the reservation.

2. Final Payment:
This is due 60 days prior unless otherwise specified by the Supplier. For bookings made eight
weeks or less before the date of departure, the whole contract price is payable at the time of
booking. Note that failure to remit payment on due date could involve passengers in cancellation
of their reservations and forfeiture of deposit. We no longer accept cheques, cheque deposits or
American Express credit cards. Please pay us by cash or credit card. Credit card payments
need to be accompanied by an original signed imprint of the card.

3. Late Booking Fees:
A late booking fee of R150.00 per booking will be levied for all reservation requests (except for
airlines whose General Sales Agent the company is) received within 5 working days of departure,
which is non-refundable even if products requested are not available.

4. Amendments:
Amendments to confirmed reservations (except airlines) within 5 working days of departure will
be requested at a fee of R150.00 non-refundable even if products requested are not available.

5. Cancellation:
In the event of cancellation by passengers of any product (except airlines), charges will be
determined by date on which the cancellation is received by The Company, and are: up to
90 days prior to departure no charge: 29 – 89 days prior to departure 30%, 8 – 28 days prior
to departure 50%, 1 –7 days prior to departure 100% of contract price. In addition, all products,
if cancelled within 14 days prior to departure, attract a cancellation fee of R200.00

6. Insurance:
We strongly advise passengers to buy travel insurance at the time of booking, covering
cancellation and/or curtailment charges, from their travel agent.

7. Travel Documentation:
It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to obtain passports, visas, re-entry permits and
health documents. Ask your travel agent for your specific requirements, which depend on
your nationality.

8. Prices:
The prices quoted in our brochures are based on those currently in effect at the time of booking.
As these are subject to alterations, The Company reserves the right to alter its tour prices
without notice, at any time. V.A.T., airport and other taxes are not included in the contract
price, since they are subject to change beyond the control of The Company, and will be
charged in addition to the contact price as stated in The Company’s and/or our Principals’
literature and these conditions of contract.

9. Possible Changes:
The Company reserves the right to cancel the tour prior to departure, in which event the entire
tour price paid by the customer will be refunded without prejudice and any further obligation on
the part of The Company. The duration of the package may be extended or curtailed because of
unforeseen changes in transportation schedules. There may also be other instances in which
changes become necessary or advisable. Any resultant expense shall be borne by the passengers,
any savings refunded.

10. Airline Responsibility:
The airline concerned is not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time
passengers are not onboard their aircraft or conveyance. The airline’s liability for acts, events and
omissions which occur during the carriage by air is governed by applicable laws and regulations
and by the conditions appearing on the airline’s tickets which, once issued, shall constitute the
sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of the tickets and/or passenger.

11. These Terms and Conditions must be read in conjunction with the relevant supplier/principal’s
Terms and Conditions.

12. Liability:
Development Promotions (Pty.) Ltd. Herein called The Company, in making arrangements for
transportation, conveyance, hotel accommodation, or any other service, act as agents only
and are not liable as a principal. Furthermore, The Company shall not be liable for any injury,
death, loss, damage, accident, delay or inconvenience, howsoever caused, during any journey,
tour, residence or other facility arranged by The Company is not liable for any failure to make
satisfactory arrangements or booking, whether such failure is occasioned by any of its servants,
agents, principals, sub-contractors or otherwise, vice, strikes, theft, war, weather other causes,
will have to be borne by the passenger.
