Ireland offers Free Rail Travel to overseas Senior visitors!

tourism ireland.gifAn exciting landmark arrangement has been made between
Failte Ireland (tourist office of the Republic of Ireland) and Irish
Rail to offer passengers from overseas who are 66 years of
age and over free rail travel within the Republic of Ireland.
The “Golden Trekker” initiative was launched on St Patrick’s
Day 17th March 2010 and offers unlimited travel by rail to
qualified travellers throughout the Republic of Ireland.
The “Golden Trekker” is not valid in Northern Ireland and only valid on Irish Rail. The offer is valid
for travel up until 31st December 2010.
